The News Room is designed to keep members up to date with lifeguard associated news from around Australia and the world. It is an opportunity for members within the lifeguard industry to keep on top of news happening around them, in an effort to become more knowledgeable in their chosen profession.

You can get the news fed directly to your web browser by signing up to an RSS feed. To do this click on the orange square on the News Room box.

We want your stories!

The news room will only be as dynamic as the members using it.

Members need to post their own news stories whether it is frontpage news or as local as within you lifeguard service.

How do I post a news article?

Posting a news article is easy. You can click on the green 'Add news item' link to the left or from the homepage.

DELAY TO POSTING SHOWING UP ON WEBSITE: There will be a delay in your news article showing up on the network website. This can be a delay of up to 6 hours and is due to a scanning process that ensures no offensive or inappropriate material is added to the website.

Tips for posting a news article

Title - The title of your news article

URL - The website address you found the story or copied the story from if it is not your own

Author Credit - The original author of the article if it was not written by you

Message - This is where you write or paste the news article

Attachment - Add a picture if you have one

Searching for news articles

If you are looking for news on a particular topic then the easiest way to search for them is by using the search function at the top of this page. You can use a keyword to search for the topic you are interested in.
